Why do today what you can put off till tomorrow

In the past I began cleaning, making beds, cooking, and planning a week before a team arrived. This time around we started late yesterday afternoon. I'm not really sure what that means, except maybe - that we are dumb. Today there are 318 things to do before the run to the airport.

The main portion of the mid-day yesterday was spent locating Cheddar cheese. It's interesting how common-place searching for groceries has become. When we first started planning and buying for teams we would stand and wring our hands when the store was out of meat or cheese or some very important item. Yesterday we shrugged our shoulders and moved quickly to the next store. It is like its own sport. As it turns out we are almost certain that we bought the last Cheddar cheese available in the entire city of Port-au-Prince. The team probably would have done fine without it, but at some point it becomes more about the hunt (and then the victory) than about the need. All of this is just to say, we won the great cheese prize yesterday.

There really is no time to put off the 'To-Do' list anymore. These people are in the air heading South. I better get to it.

Have a good Tuesday.
