The new playground has been a big hit. I'm not sure if it was more fun watching the children play on it and discover all its fun, or watching the adults stare at it and contemplate its construction. Thank you to all the donors who made this project possible.
The concept of all that lumber is foreign to Haitians. Most of their trees have been clear-cut for charcoal production, and the lumber you can find is certainly not milled and green-treated.
There were a few days filled with standing and looking in awe at this wooden wonder.
Eventually, even Pastor Rony's curiosity got the best of him. Here he is trying out the tire swing. Watching him try to walk afterwards was the best part.
