Birthday Party

By Paige-

Friday was my friend Keroline’s birthday.

We were talking about our ages and she said that she was no longer eleven, October 6 was her birthday. I asked her, “Did you tell your mom?” She replied “yes I did” but she just said, “oh ok”. I then asked if she got any presents. She said, No, because her mom did not have anything but if she did she would have given it to her.

So we decided to have a little dinner party for her on Monday night. It was a lot of fun. We had chicken, zucchini, and mashed potatoes. Haitians are not the biggest fans of mashed potatoes. I was the only one that saw her try them her face was SO funny. Some how she got most of them down, and the rest went to the dog. That is a weird thing to not like.

We also made cake for desert and put candles on it for her, I made it, it was good. We sang to her too. She was happy. I had to tell her that when we were done singing she should blow out the candles. (She has never had a birthday cake before!)

We gave her a blue pen (for some reason she loves blue pens and has wanted one) and a few outfits. I think she had fun. I know I did.

After dinner we went and played on the swing set and just chatted.
